FYRE-TEC™ FIN MOUNTING SYSTEM |

The fin system is designed for quick and easy window installation in exterior
or interior new construction rated walls.
Window frame depth in relationship to the finished wall may be adjusted
in four increments by selecting the mounting position on the perimeter
of the frame.
The mounting fins are supplied loose and are to be mounted to the window
with the supplied self tapping screws. The screws are to be positioned
1” from each end of the individual fins and 12” on center thereafter.
A caulk bedding is to be applied around the perimeter of the frame in the
frame recess that the fin is intended to be mounted.
The window opening is to be prepared in conformance with the construction
drawings and it is recommended that the perimeter be prepped with a Tyvek
type window wrap flashing system. A caulk bedding is to be applied to the
perimeter of the opening where the fin abuts the construction framing.
Install the window, centering it in the opening. Attach to the construction
framing in a method approved by the architect or authority having jurisdiction.
Install the provided corner pieces to complete the installation of the
window.
After the exterior finish has been applied, caulk the exterior perimeter
using caution not to block the exterior moisture weep slots on the bottom
of the sill of the window frame. |
